Andrej Balco
| Born on the 25th September 1973 in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. In the year 1998 he finished the Faculty of Social Work at the Trnava University, where he received a Masters degree. He also earned a Bachelor degree of Photography from the Institute for Creative Photography (ITF) in Opava, Czech Republic in 2006. In 2004 he was invited to take part in training for emerging photojournalists from Eastern and Central Europe organized by prestigious agency VII in France. In the same year he was awarded by Vaculik Advertising (full year photo stipend) to shot photo essay about Slovakia. In 2006 Andrej was selected to undertake a commission in Brazil, hosted by the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Nitteroi - Rio de Janeiro, as part of Year 3 of the Changing Faces project of IPRN founded at Sunderland University. | |
